Chinese Ambassador Lu Kun holds talks with Dominican Foreign Minister Francine Baron

On November 8, Chinese Ambassador Lu Kun held a consultation with Dominican Foreign Minister Francine Baron. They exchanged views on China-Dominica relations. Also present are Dominican Secretary to the Cabinet Ambassador Steve Ferrol, Dominican Ambassador to China Martin Charles and Counselor of the Chinese Embassy Luo Songtao.

Foreign Minister Baron spoke highly of the rapid development of bilateral relations and fruitful results in various areas of cooperation. She expressed gratitude for the Chinese Government for the China-aided infrastructure projects as well as training and education programs. She reiterated Dominica's adherence to the One China position and support of China's peaceful reunification, stressing that Dominica will continue to work with China to enhance bilateral relations.

Ambassador Lu expressed satisfaction of the development of  China-Dominica relations over the past 15 years, saying that China regards Dominica as a good partner and true friend in the Caribbean region. He emphasized that as a reliable friend of Dominica, China will as always join hands with Dominica and push bilateral relations to new heights.
