Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing for a State Visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

On June 20, 2019, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President Xi Jinping left Beijing by a special plane for a state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the invitation of Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un.

Members of Xi Jinping's delegation included: wife of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping Peng Liyuan; Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Ding Xuexiang; Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Yang Jiechi; State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi; and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission He Lifeng.
